Whether you are new to our organization or a returning member, we would like to take this opportunity to personally thank you for being part of a great athletic social organization. NAGVA has a rich and diverse twenty six year history promoting sportsmanship and fun among our members.


Newly Appointed Board Members

NAGVA's Board of Directors recently confirmed the appointments of the Directory of Eligibility, VP of Officials, VP of Regions, VP of Tournaments, and Webmaster. The Board also confirmed a new Member At-Large to complete the second half of the seat vacated by Jason Fallon (whom you recently elected as Treasurer), and confirmed ten Regional Commissioners.

Playing "Down" a Division No Longer Allowed

Many of you have already emailed questions about the new rule, which prohibits players from playing down a division from their individual rating (i.e. No "A" rated player allowed on a BB Team, etc.). To help answer your questions, we have put together a more detailed explanation of how the rule will be implemented, and how players, teams, and tournaments may be affected.

Important Changes Effective Immediately

During the Annual Meeting held at Championships (May 23, 2008) Team Reps and other qualified members with votes discussed and decided upon the Member-submitted proposals to change our ByLaws and Rules & Regulations. The respective documents are being updated to reflect the changes; however, you may view a summary of the changes voted into effect. Given the impact and immediecy of some of the changes, we thought it best to inform the members as as soon as possible.

trophyChampionships Trophies - Your Help Needed!

As we enter our 27th Championships season, we ask you to pause for a moment and reflect back on our collective past. Each year after Championships, are put on display during the banquet as a testament to the four traveling trophies are updated with engraved plates displaying the names of teams finishing 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

As we noted in Denver last year, there are some years with blank tags (mostly from the period 1982-1997). We need your help! if you can help us fill-in the blanks. Completing this project, with your assistance, will help launch our overall goal of documenting our history, and making it accsible online!
